Summer Memories in Amesbury

This year’s Amesbury Days festivities will take place from June 25, through July 4, 2026, with multiple exciting events each day. The current summertime tradition is passed down from a town festival in 1899 that manifested as a one day outing for the town’s mill workers. However, this popular and well-loved town tradition has now evolved into a multi-day, multi-event celebration for everyone, ending on the Fourth of July. 

Ten days long, Amesbury Days boasts many different events spanning from the family friendly Pancakes at the Pines, to the 21+ Brewfest, with any range of community-based celebrations in between. These events culminate in a lively firework show on the Fourth of July, complete with live music and food vendors. Amesbury Days successfully brings together the community in celebration, while also attracting visitors from nearby towns and cities, much like Newburyport’s own Yankee Homecoming in August does. These town traditions offer an exciting look into both communities.

Amesbury and Newburyport’s festivities also have in common the significant contribution of volunteers to make the events possible: a non-profit organization, Amesbury Days is brought to fruition by the hard work of their 100% volunteer workers, who put in the effort all year round to help deliver these affordable and exciting events to the community every summer. It is thanks to the effort of these volunteers that Amesbury is bursting with lively music, food, and fun all to enjoy.
