Beatlejuice in September…Oh Yeah! After this summer’s Thursday night Yankee Homecoming concert was rained out, “Here Comes the Sun” — and with it, Newburyport’s favorite Beatles tribute band returns to the Waterfront Stage for a special concert on Sunday, September 28, from 10 am – 6 pm.
This all-day event will feature food, crafts, vendors, raffles, and plenty of live music. Beatlejuice takes the stage at 3 pm to bring you an unforgettable Beatles tribute performance — the perfect chance for everyone to “Come Together” for music and community.
This special show came about thanks to Dennis Palazzo — longtime Yankee Homecoming board member and volunteer — who saw a chance to turn “Yesterday’s” rainout into “Something” positive. With his efforts, and “with a little help from my friends” in the community, the Massachusetts Motorcyclists Survivor’s Fund stepped in as host and beneficiary, raising awareness for motorcycle safety and supporting riders helping riders.
A big shout-out to Dennis and all the local sponsors who pitched in to make this happen. It may have felt like “A Hard Day’s Night” to pull together another Waterfront concert during such a busy season, but the result is an exciting encore appearance by Beatlejuice.
So “Don’t Let Me Down” — bring your lawn chairs or blankets, enjoy a day full of music, food, and fun, and take part in the 50/50 raffle and pass-the-bucket in support of a great cause.
