Many local businesses are running Black Friday Sales in order to incent shoppers to make as many local purchases as possible. In addition to Black Friday, many local retailers are also featuring holiday shopping sales on Small Business Saturday as well. Below is a list of local area businesses running Black Friday 2024 sales. All promotions listed here are available in stores only unless specified otherwise, they are valid only for Black Friday 2024 and can not be applied to past or future purchases. We encourage folks to check back for additional shop promotions and to visit social media pages and websites of local businesses for additional information.
Many local retailers have decided to take part in the Newburyport Holiday Shopping Spree in leiu of creating seperate Black Friday promotions. Participating local shops have donated gift cards giving shoppers the chance to win giftcards. The goal is to get a stamp which shopping at 10 of the 20 ptartcipating shops for a chance to win one of three great prizes.

If you discover a shop that isn’t offering a Black Friday promotion, the VIP Discount Card can be used at participating VIP Businesses.
The foundation of this community based loyalty program is to reward customers with small discounts as a thank you for shopping local throughout the year! Participating businesses have the flexibility to choose their own discount, in order to ensure that the offer works with their margins, helping to drive profitable business and encourages customer loyalty. VIP Card Discounts offered by each participating business are meant to be small because card holders have the opportunity to receive substantial savings if they use their card at multiple businesses throughout the course of the year. VIP Card Discounts are not able to be combined with other discounts or promotions so if you prefer to take advantage of a Black Friday Sale, you can’t use the VIP Card discount on that same purchase.
