Experience Autumn Fest 2026 referred to in recent years as Newburyport Fall Fest on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th from 10 am – 4 pm in downtown Newburyport. In the spirit of autumn traditions, we come together for Fall Fest a community-wide celebration of gratitude and appreciation that welcomes visitors to share in the excitement of our local fall festivities.
In addition to Fall Fest activities, we encourage everyone to explore downtown Newburyport’s amazing retail shops. Featuring a wide variety of clothing boutiques, home décor, jewelry stores, art galleries and artisan goods, you are certain to Fall in Love with Shopping Local in Newburyport! As part of a collective local effort, many shops accept the Newburyport VIP Discount Card to encourage Loyalty to Shopping Local!
Downtown Newburyport offers many options for arts & entertainment, interesting attractions as well as excellent shopping and restaurants. As you are strolling around town during Fall Fest, make sure to check out the scarecrows, created by local businesses and organizations. If you’re in need of a hotel room in Newburyport, make sure to reserve a room or suite in advance.
Fall Fest is about enjoying the outdoors and appreciation for the beauty of the Fall season in New England. Autumn is one of the most picturesque times of the year to experience the Newburyport Waterfront and all that downtown Newburyport has to offer. Hosted by the Newburyport Chamber, Autumn Fest is the official name for Newburyport’s 2025 Fall celebration, yet both the name of the event and the associated activities have evolved over the years. Fall Festival, Fall Harvest Festival, Octoberfest and October Festival are all prior year names for what is now being referred to as Newburyport Autumn Fest. If you enjoy attending outdoor events during the fall season, we highly recommend the annual Fall Festival in Georgetown, hosted by Nunan’s and Cafe Sarina.
