Originally founded in 2015 as Port Plums & Newburyport Olive Oil, a renovation of the store in 2022 resulted in a rebranding. Co-founders, mother and daughter duo, Karen and Katie Shernan wanted a space that matched the sophistication of the products they carry. With thanks to local Designers, Kelsy Stromsky and Ashley Bongo, their vision became a reality. The new name, Affamata, is Italian for hungry and though you will no doubt feel that way when browsing the many delicious product options in store, the name also implies hungry for more…knowledge, education and an overall passion for cooking, eating and entertaining.

Affamata is well known for their extensive selection of infused, specialty and extra virgin olive oils as well as balsamic vinegars. The redesigned store has allowed for a bright showroom displaying tabletop linens and place settings…just perfect for your dinner party or special gathering.
